Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer with robotics expertise to join a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will design, integrate, and optimize mechanical subsystems for advanced robotic platforms, working across disciplines to push the boundaries of technology.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Robotics, 5+ years in mechanical design and systems engineering, and proficiency with CAD, FEA, CFD, and robotics control.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Robotics.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and systems engineering with a robotics focus.
• Proficiency with CAD software and mechanical simulation tools (FEA, CFD).
• Experience with robot kinematics, dynamics and control systems.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting and manage complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical subsystems for robotic platforms, including actuators, end-effectors, and structural components.
• Integrate mechanical components with electrical, control, and software systems in a robotics context.
• Perform detailed mechanical analysis (stress, dynamics, thermal) using FEA and other tools.
• Develop and manage system requirements and ensure designs meet performance specs.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of robotic mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with a distributed, remote engineering team across disciplines.
