Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Environmental Project Manager for a fully remote role focused on conservation and ecological restoration. The successful candidate will oversee planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement across multiple initiatives, coordinating with partners and government bodies.

Ideal applicants have at least 6 years in environmental PM, a bachelor's in Environmental Science or related field (Master's preferred), strong leadership and communication skills, and experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of progressive environmental project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree highly desirable.
• Strong planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with remote, distributed teams.
• Experience with diverse stakeholders including governmental bodies and local communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, and management of environmental conservation projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to technical requirements and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets and track financial performance, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and impact evaluations for environmental projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and policies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans.
• Prepare regular project reports for management and stakeholders, detailing progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members.
• Engage with local communities and government agencies related to project activities.
• Stay current with environmental science advancements and best practices in project management.
• Manage contracts with vendors and service providers for project execution.
