Placements24 is seeking a Senior VFX Artist to craft real-time visual effects for cinematic sequences and in-game events. You will work with Unreal Engine or Unity to design particle systems, shaders, and simulations that elevate storytelling and player immersion.

You will collaborate with cinematic and art directors to maintain a high-fidelity visual style, optimize assets for performance, and mentor junior artists in a creative studio environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional VFX Artist experience in the game industry with real-time focus.
• Proven ability to craft VFX for cinematics and storytelling sequences.
• Expertise in major game engines (Unreal Engine/Unity) and VFX tools (Niagara, Cascade, Shuriken).
• Strong understanding of particle systems, fluid dynamics, shaders, and materials.

Responsabilités

• Create high-quality real-time VFX for cinematics and in-game events using Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Design and implement particle systems, shaders, textures, and simulations (fire, smoke, explosions, magic, enviro effects).
• Collaborate with cinematic team to define visual style and technical requirements.
• Optimize VFX assets for performance and memory usage in the engine.
• Work with directors/arts to develop VFX style guides and best practices.
• Iterate on effects based on feedback from leads and art teams.
• Mentor junior VFX artists and contribute to artistic direction.
• Stay current with industry trends and new real-time VFX tech.
