Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
• Proven track record in handling complex property transactions, including acquisitions, sales, and leasing.
• In-depth knowledge of South African property law, conveyancing, and sectional title legislation.
• Experience with development projects, zoning, and land use regulations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all legal aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, sale agreements, development agreements, and loan documents.
• Conduct thorough legal due diligence on properties, including title searches, zoning reviews, and environmental assessments.
• Advise on property development matters, including land use, planning permissions, and construction contracts.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant property laws, regulations, and company policies.
