Marvel Placement Consultants invites a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on mining and engineering projects. You will oversee cost estimates, budgets, forecasts and reporting, and manage BOQs, cost plans and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in QS within mining, strong Excel and QS software skills, and proven ability to manage variations, claims and contractual risk. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification is essential.
• 8–10 years of Quantity Surveying experience is required.
• Mining industry experience is essential.
• Experience on mining, minerals processing, infrastructure, engineering or capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of the full QS and commercial lifecycle.
• Experience with cost estimating, budgeting, cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• BOQ preparation, measurement, valuations and variation management.
• Contract administration and commercial management.
• Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, JBCC or similar contracts is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and QS software.

Aufgaben

• Provide senior-level QS and commercial management support across mining and engineering projects.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
• Develop and maintain BOQs, cost plans and project cost documentation.
• Undertake measurement and valuation of work completed.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets and identify variances.
• Provide cost reporting and forecasting to stakeholders.
• Assess variations, claims and commercial risks.
• Review applications for payment and prepare certificates.
• Assist with tenders, quotations and commercial submissions.
• Conduct commercial evaluations and provide recommendations.
• Participate in project meetings with expert QS input.
