Placements24 is seeking a Chief Quantity Surveyor for our client in Rustenburg, North West. This senior role leads the quantity surveying department, drives profitability, and mitigates financial risk across major construction projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in quantity surveying with leadership experience, SACQSP accreditation is desirable, and strong expertise in cost management and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field is required.
• Professional SACQSP accreditation is highly desirable.
• At least 10 years of progressive quantity surveying experience with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the quantity surveying team across multiple projects.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts.
• Administer contracts including tendering, negotiation and final accounts.
• Monitor expenditure, identify overruns and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare interim and final payment applications; manage variations and claims.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for projects.
• Advise on risk, disputes and contractual matters.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or safety.
