Job summary

Helderberg Personnel is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead the QS function across multiple projects in Ireland. The role requires a Quantity Surveying degree, and at least 5 years in a consultancy, with strong cost planning, estimating and commercial management skills.

You will provide accurate cost estimates, monitor budgets, advise on procurement and change control, and mentor junior surveyors while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 5 years experience in a consultancy role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, and commercial management.
• Proven experience delivering projects to a successful conclusion.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities and ability to manage teams and build client relationships.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Building Contracts including Public Contracts.
• Proficiency in Cubit and Excel.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

• 5 years experience in a consultancy role is essential
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, estimating, and commercial management
• Proven experience including bringing projects to a successful conclusion
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage teams and build client relationships
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to take control and manage complex projects
• Good knowledge of current forms of Building Contracts including Public Contracts
• Proficiency in using relevant software (e.g. Cubit, Excel)

Duties will include, but not limited to:
