Placements24's client, a leader in advanced manufacturing solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Engineer to join a global team in a fully remote role across South Africa. You'll drive quality across manufacturing processes and products.

You will collaborate with R&D, production and supply chain to implement robust quality frameworks, lead Six Sigma and Lean initiatives, analyze data with SPC tools, and mentor junior staff while ensuring ISO 9001 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in manufacturing.
• Proven experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, RCA and FMEA.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel, JMP).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with remote work and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
• Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Minitab, Excel, JMP).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, essential for remote work.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes and materials.
