Placements24 seeks a Quality Systems Engineer to remotely oversee and enhance the company’s quality management systems. You will develop, implement and maintain QA protocols, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, supporting operations in Nelspruit and beyond.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and at least 8 years in quality roles, with ISO 9001 experience and strong SPC/CAPA skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in quality engineering or management.
• Proven experience implementing and managing a QMS, ideally ISO 9001 certified.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and auditing skills.
• Strong communication and remote project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the company's QMS (ISO 9001 where applicable).
• Plan and conduct internal and external quality audits.
• Analyze quality data and implement CAPA to resolve issues.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs for staff.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and supply chain to embed quality across development and manufacturing.
• Monitor regulatory changes to keep the QMS current and effective.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality assurance protocols, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This remote position requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of quality frameworks to drive excellence from afar, supporting operations in Nelspruit and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Plan and conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure adherence to procedures and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs to employees at all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality considerations into all stages of product development and manufacturing.
• Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure the QMS remains current and effective.
