Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior QA Lead to drive quality across our fully remote software development projects with a major focus on Soweto, Gauteng. You will define QA strategies, lead a team of QA engineers, and ensure defect-free software delivery throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in QA, including 3 years in a leadership role, strong testing expertise (manual and automated), API and performance testing experience, and excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Quality Assurance with at least 3 years in a lead/supervisory role.
• Proven experience developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with manual and automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Postman).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience in API testing and performance testing is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and ability to work in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

While the company has operational headquarters elsewhere, this role is designed for a professional based anywhere, with a primary focus on leading QA efforts for projects with a strong presence in Soweto, Gauteng. You will be responsible for defining and implementing comprehensive quality assurance strategies, leading a team of QA engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, defect-free software. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.


• Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases.


• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.


• Experience with both manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman).
