Job summary

impact.com is hiring a Senior QA Engineer for Programmatic XP to own the quality strategy for programmatic publishing. You will design automation, define release readiness, and elevate testing across APIs, data pipelines, and frontends. This hands-on role focuses on backend, data-heavy work with real-time decisioning and a surface UI.

You will build contract tests, validate data across stores, and ensure performance under load while collaborating with engineers to raise the bar on quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on QA/SDET experience with automated coverage.
• API testing depth, including auth, negatives, and versioning.
• Contract testing in CI with consumer-driven tests (Pact).
• Strong SQL skills; BigQuery experience preferred.
• Event-driven testing with Kafka and schema/contract control.
• UI automation for multi-step journeys using Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the squad's test strategy across domains.
• Build and maintain automated API and contract tests.
• Validate data quality from pipelines to reports (SQL).
• Test frontend paths across legacy and modern UIs.
• Monitor health with Grafana and define quality signals.
• Collaborate with PM/Tech Lead on acceptance criteria.
