Placements24 in Klerksdorp is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join the quality assurance team. You will develop and execute comprehensive test plans, lead testing efforts, and mentor junior QA staff while collaborating with developers to resolve defects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in CS or related field with at least four years of QA experience, strong test automation skills (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), and solid knowledge of Jira or Bugzilla.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the SDLC.
Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, providing clear and concise reports.
Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Lead and mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance on testing methodologies and best practices.
