WhatJobs Direct is seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel with specialized expertise in Property Law to join its Mossel Bay legal team on a hybrid basis. You will manage all legal aspects of the property portfolio, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and development, and provide strategic advice to support real estate objectives.

The ideal candidate holds an LLB, is admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, and has at least six years of post‑admission experience in property

• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload in a hybrid setting.
• Experience with property development projects is a strong advantage.

• Provide expert legal advice on property law, including commercial leases, sectional title, developments, and conveyancing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate property-related agreements, such as sale, lease, and development agreements.
• Manage legal aspects of property acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence and closing.
• Ensure compliance with property legislation, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with external legal advisors, estate agents, and stakeholders in property transactions.
• Advise on property disputes and assist in their resolution.
• Maintain knowledge of property market trends and legal developments.
• Support the legal team in governance and general commercial matters as required.
