Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to guide complex pharmaceutical development programs in East London. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure on-time and within-budget delivery, and drive projects from early development through regulatory submission and launch.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in pharma/biotech project management, a strong drug development understanding, and proven leadership and negotiation abilities in a hybrid on-site/off-site setting.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead complex pharmaceutical development projects in East London . This role demands exceptional leadership, planning, and execution skills to drive projects from early-stage development through to regulatory submission and launch. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle and a proven ability to navigate the challenges inherent in pharmaceutical R&D.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple pharmaceutical development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Effectively manage cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and driving performance.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate project meetings, track progress, and report on key milestones and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific discipline, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex drug development projects.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development process (pre-clinical, clinical, regulatory).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
