About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical engineering projects in Sandton . This role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring a blend of on-site presence for key project phases and remote management capabilities. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of significant electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a leadership position requiring strong technical acumen, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to effectively manage diverse project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of electrical projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation plans proactively.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
• Communicate project status, progress, and critical issues to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in managing large-scale electrical engineering projects.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery within the commercial, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and project management software.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
