About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead critical energy infrastructure projects, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and execution capabilities to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels in coordinating distributed teams and managing large-scale initiatives within the demanding energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of complex energy infrastructure projects, ensuring successful completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional, distributed teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multi-million rand projects from initiation to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage distributed teams effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of project management software and tools, as well as the technical aspects of energy infrastructure development.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
