Job summary

De Beers Group is seeking a Senior Project Design Engineer to lead the engineering design lifecycle for VUP, C&M and special projects in a mining context. You will coordinate concepts to handover, ensuring safe, compliant and value-optimised outcomes within a matrix team.

You will influence engineering design, manage interfaces, and drive risk management and continuous improvement across project phases from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years' experience in engineering, project engineering and capital projects in mining or heavy industry.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and consultants.
• Experience with concept to commissioning and handover phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design reviews across project phases.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs for integrated solutions.
• Manage interfaces between engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support procurement, fabrication quality and commissioning readiness.
