Job summary

Avensys Consulting invites an experienced Programme Manager to join the PMO in Cape Town. You will lead complex, business-critical programmes and coordinate multiple projects to deliver strategic change, while aligning with regulatory, risk and security requirements.

You will engage with security, technology, risk and business teams, manage governance and budgets, and apply Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid approaches as appropriate. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience operating as a Programme Manager on large-scale programmes.
• Strong background in Project Management with a track record of delivering complex change.
• Significant experience delivering information security or cyber security programmes.
• Ability to engage with security, technology, risk, compliance and business teams.
• Proven governance, risks, dependencies, budgets and stakeholder communications at programme level.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience in fast-paced, complex environments with ambiguity.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery approaches.
• Exceptional organisational, planning and communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale programmes with multiple projects and workstreams.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of Information Security and Cyber Security programmes.
• Translate executive objectives into programme plans, milestones and deliverables.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, resources and governance.
• Coordinate across Technology, Information Security, Risk, Compliance and Business teams.
• Establish and maintain strong programme governance and reporting.
• Engage and challenge senior stakeholders, providing clear visibility of progress.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid delivery methodologies as needed.
• Drive resolution of cross-project dependencies and blockers.
• Ensure delivery against scope, timelines and quality.
