Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a Programme Manager for Cybersecurity and Information Security to lead complex, cross-functional programmes across Cape Town or Johannesburg. The role combines delivery leadership with hands-on governance, risk management, and security governance across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience operating as a Programme Manager.
• Significant background in Project Management with a track record of delivering complex change initiatives.
• Experience delivering Information Security and/or Cyber Security programmes with knowledge of current standards and best practices.
• Ability to engage with security, technology, risk, compliance, and business teams, translating technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Proven experience managing governance, risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
• Excellent stakeholder management with ability to influence senior leaders and build confidence in delivery.
• Experience in fast-paced, complex environments with competing priorities and ambiguity.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, business-critical programmes delivering strategic change for the organisation and clients.
• Provide programme leadership, coordinating multiple interdependent projects and workstreams.
• Ensure delivery aligns with objectives, regulatory requirements and risk management expectations.
• Translate executive-level objectives into executable programme plans.
• Maintain delivery momentum across multiple teams and workstreams.
• Blend hands-on leadership with programme coordination across delivery teams.
• Drive Information Security and Cyber Security initiatives throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Embed security considerations and governance across all programme activities.
• Engage security, technology, risk, compliance, and business teams to achieve clear outcomes.
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and challenge where needed.
• Apply SOC standards and governance requirements across programmes.
• Manage governance, risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications at programme level.
• Report clearly to senior stakeholders and maintain governance across activities.
• Apply Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches as appropriate.
