Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a distinguished University Professor in Education Policy and Management to join our Sandton faculty. The role focuses on leading advanced research, publishing scholarly work, and shaping academic leadership within the department.

You will teach and supervise graduate students, participate in university governance, and engage in policy dialogues, contributing to informed decision-making in educational systems and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Education Policy, Public Administration, or closely related field.
• Outstanding record of research, publication, and academic leadership in education policy and management.
• Extensive experience in university teaching at the graduate level.
• Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and lead research teams.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for engaging with academics, policymakers, and stakeholders in Sandton.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous, high-impact research in education policy, management, and leadership.
• Teach advanced graduate courses and seminars in education policy, leadership, and organizational management.
• Supervise doctoral students' research and dissertations in related areas.
• Contribute to strategic development and administration of the department and university.
• Engage in national and international policy dialogues and provide expert consultancy.
