Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Lecturer in Pedagogy in Midrand to advance teaching programs, research, and supervision of postgraduate studies. The role supports curriculum development within a dynamic education faculty.

The successful candidate will lead lectures, publish research, and mentor postgraduate students while engaging with stakeholders to enhance educational practices in a collaborative university setting.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Education, Pedagogy or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of tertiary teaching experience, preferably in pedagogy.
• Strong scholarly publications and successful grant applications.
• Proven ability to supervise postgraduate research.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials on pedagogical theories and applications.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals; present at international conferences.
• Supervise postgraduate research projects and theses.
• Contribute to curriculum development and programme enhancement.
• Engage in service activities, committees, and community outreach related to education.
