Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Chemist to join our client’s operations in Polokwane. The role focuses on optimizing production chemistry, ensuring product quality in oil and gas, and troubleshooting processes through analysis of samples.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in analytical chemistry, expert knowledge of oilfield chemistry, corrosion, scale inhibition, and hands-on experience with GC, HPLC, spectroscopy and titration techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Production Chemist or similar role in oil & gas.
• Proficiency in GC, HPLC, spectroscopy, and titrations.
• Strong understanding of oilfield chemistry, corrosion, and scale inhibition.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team near Polokwane.
