About the Role

This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be instrumental in defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a key product line, driving innovation, and ensuring market leadership. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of product management principles, agile methodologies, and has a proven ability to translate market needs into successful product features. This role requires exceptional communication and collaboration skills, as you will work closely with cross‑functional, globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned product areas, aligning with overall company goals.
• Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to identify user needs and market opportunities.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and prototypes for the engineering and design teams.
• Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, user impact, and strategic alignment.
• Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Launch new products and features, ensuring successful go‑to‑market strategies and internal enablement.
• Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and iterate on the product to drive continuous improvement and user satisfaction.
• Act as the subject matter expert for your product areas, evangelizing the product vision internally and externally.
• Manage product development sprints using agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant Master’s degree is a strong plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on B2B SaaS products.
• Proven experience in defining product strategy, roadmapping, and launching successful products.
• Strong understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and quantitative skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in a remote‑first or distributed team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams without formal authority.
• Technical background or strong understanding of software development processes is highly preferred.
