Marvel Placement Consultants seeks an experienced Procurement Manager/Contracts Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for mining, EPCM, and heavy industrial projects. You will oversee tendering, contract administration and supplier performance.

The role requires 8–10 years in procurement or contracts, plus 3–5 years in senior management, with strong negotiation, budgeting and leadership skills. On-site work and travel to project locations are expected.

Qualificações

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Commercial Management, Contract Management, Business Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 8-10 years' experience in procurement, supply chain or contracts management within mining, EPCM, engineering, construction or heavy industrial environment.
• 3-5 years' experience in a Procurement Manager, Contracts Manager or similar senior management role.
• Proven experience managing procurement and contract functions for mining operations, engineering projects or large-scale capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, tender management, contract negotiations and supplier performance management.
• Experience managing full procurement lifecycle from tender to close-out.
• Experience with high-value procurement packages and service agreements.
• Strong understanding of commercial terms, contract conditions, risk allocation, claims management, variations and dispute resolution.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Pronto, Syspro or similar systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and procurement reporting.
• Knowledge of procurement legislation, governance, and compliance.
• Strong negotiation, financial analysis, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement packages and project priorities.
• Willingness to work on-site or travel to project locations.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement activities for mining operations, EPCM projects, engineering packages and construction activities.
• Identify suitable suppliers, contractors and service providers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
• Establish procurement plans, sourcing strategies and purchasing schedules in line with project execution requirements.
• Ensure procurement activities follow budgets and policies.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and value engineering.
• Monitor market conditions and supplier capabilities to support procurement decisions.
• Align procurement activities with project schedules to prevent delays.
