The ideal candidate has 7+ years in process design and optimization, with proficiency in Aspen Plus, HYSYS or ChemCAD, and a Pr. Eng.

Competenze

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced process models and simulations to identify areas for optimization in chemical manufacturing.
• Analyze operational data to pinpoint inefficiencies, predict potential failures, and propose corrective actions.
• Design and oversee pilot plant studies and scale-up processes for new chemical products and modifications.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and safety teams to ensure process designs meet all regulatory and operational requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance process performance and sustainability.
• Troubleshoot complex process issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the team.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, ensuring successful project completion.

Requirements

• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in chemical process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ChemCAD).
• Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
• Experience with data analysis tools and statistical methods.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) with ECSA is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
