Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering (BSc or MSc) from an accredited institution.
• At least 7 years of experience in process development, scale-up, or chemical manufacturing.
• Proven experience with process simulation and modeling software.
• Knowledge of Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) methodologies and safety/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes with focus on efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
• Conduct PHAs and implement necessary safety measures.
• Perform process simulations and modeling using industry-standard software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Develop and execute pilot plant trials, troubleshoot issues, and analyze data.
• Translate lab findings into scalable commercial processes, preparing PFDs and P&IDs.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and maintenance to ensure seamless implementation.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to management.
