About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Primary School Mathematics Teacher to join their esteemed educational institution in Polokwane, Limpopo . Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver comprehensive mathematics lesson plans aligned with national curriculum standards for primary school learners. Employ a variety of teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed in mathematics. Assess student progress through regular formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to students and parents. Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking in mathematics. Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and innovative teaching strategies in mathematics. Mentor and guide less experienced teachers, providing support and professional development opportunities in mathematics pedagogy. Participate actively in school meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities related to mathematics. Contribute to the development and review of school-wide mathematics policies and programs.

Requirements

A relevant Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field with a specialization in Mathematics education. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification. A minimum of 5 years of experience teaching primary school mathematics, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity. Proven track record of improving student achievement in mathematics. Excellent understanding of primary mathematics curriculum and assessment strategies. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive learning environment. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance mathematics instruction. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to continuous professional development.
