Role involves CFD/FEA simulations, calibration collaboration, bench and in-vehicle testing, and compliance with automotive standards. 5+ years in powertrain development, strong engine thermodynamics, and hybrid experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive powertrain design, development, or testing.
• Strong knowledge of internal combustion engine principles, thermodynamics, and combustion.
• Experience with hybrid powertrain systems is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, GT-SUITE, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new powertrain architectures and components with performance, efficiency, and emissions targets.
• Conduct simulations and analyses (CFD/FEA) to evaluate designs and system integration.
• Collaborate with engine design teams to optimize combustion and mechanical efficiency.
• Integrate powertrain control strategies with vehicle electronics and software.
• Develop and execute test plans for components and systems, on bench and in-vehicle.
• Analyze test data and implement design modifications to meet requirements.
• Work with calibration engineers to optimize engine parameters for power and emissions.
• Support manufacturing during production launches of new powertrains.
• Stay updated on emerging powertrain technologies and assess applicability.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant automotive standards and regulations.
