Placements24 is seeking a Senior Post-Production Supervisor to lead post-production for documentary and film projects in Upington, Northern Cape. You will oversee editing, color grading, sound, and delivery, ensuring projects meet creative and technical standards on time and within budget.

The role requires at least 8 years in post-production, including 4 in a supervisory capacity, and strong leadership and budgeting skills with expertise in Avid, Premiere, Final Cut, and DaVinci Resolve.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in post-production, with at least 4 years in a supervisory/manager role.
• Proven track record of managing complex post-production pipelines from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of non-linear editing systems, color correction software, and audio mixing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the post-production process, including editing, color grading, visual effects integration, sound design, mixing, and mastering.
• Develop and maintain efficient post-production workflows and schedules for multiple projects.
• Manage post-production budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, editors, and other post-production staff to achieve the creative vision.
• Ensure adherence to technical specifications and delivery requirements for various platforms and broadcasters.

• In-depth knowledge of non-linear editing systems (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), color correction software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve), and audio mixing platforms.
• Understanding of file-based workflows, codecs, and delivery formats.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing budgets and negotiating with vendors.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent extensive professional experience.
• Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Upington, Northern Cape .
