Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd in Durbanville/Northern Suburbs is seeking a Senior Pool Technician / Team Leader to service clients, lead on-site and deliver quotations. You will attend sites independently, assess problems and report with photos and labour estimates, enabling accurate quotes.

You will manage a maintenance route, keep visits logged via WhatsApp with photos and chemicals used, and mentor our technician, communicating in an appropriate African language when needed.

• Solid hands-on experience in the swimming pool industry, including maintenance, pumps, filters, plumbing, water chemistry and general fault finding.
• Attend sites independently, speak professionally with customers, assess problems and recommend practical solutions.
• Report back with clear photos, materials required and estimated labour hours for quotations.
• Manage a maintenance route independently, with every visit logged via WhatsApp including photos, chemicals used/required and faults identified.
• Guide our existing technician, who is more comfortable in an African language; communicate in an appropriate African language as needed.
• Reliable, responsible and comfortable representing the company without management present.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Solid hands-on experience in the swimming pool industry, including maintenance, pumps, filters, plumbing, water chemistry and general fault finding.
• Able to attend sites independently, speak professionally with customers, assess problems and recommend practical solutions.
• Able to report back with clear photos, materials required and estimated labour hours so that we can prepare quotations.
• Able to manage a maintenance route independently, with every visit logged via WhatsApp including photos, chemicals used/required and any faults identified.
• Able to work with and guide our existing technician, who is more comfortable discussing technical matters in an African language. Good communication in an appropriate African language is therefore important.
• Valid driver's licence and comfortable driving between sites.
• Ideally based in or close to Phisantekraal, Kraaifontein or Durbanville, as transport and proximity to our operating area are important.
• Reliable, responsible and comfortable representing the company without management being present.
• Essentially, we need more than someone who can simply maintain a pool. We need someone who can be trusted to be our senior person in the field, deal with customers, identify problems and give us accurate information to quote and complete the work.

R11,500 (nett) per month
