Job summary

Amazon South Africa is building out its Retail Operations and Initiatives function. This Senior Product Manager role owns the end-to-end selection funnel, from listing to purchasable and deliverable, and defines governance, automation, and cross-functional accountability with visibility to country leadership.

You will collaborate with data engineering and Vendor/In-Stock teams, driving AI-enabled improvements to scale operations within South Africa.

Qualifications

5+ years of product or program management or related experience.
Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
Experience with data mining tools and analytics to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end selection funnel and the weekly diagnostic that identifies where it leaks.
Build the buyability defect taxonomy, the intake mechanism, and the triage SLAs from zero.
Design governance mechanisms for demand promise accuracy; migrate manual processes to automated systems.
Translate demand signals and funnel data into prioritized actions for Vendor Managers and In-Stock Managers.
Partner with data engineering to build the intelligence layer that makes the funnel visible and actionable.
Present funnel performance to store leadership; elevate blockers with clear business impact.
Embed AI and automation into detection and governance workflows to scale without scaling headcount.
