Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a seasoned PLC Engineer to design, program, test, and optimize PLC software for industrial automation. You will work on customer sites to commission equipment and ensure minimal downtime.

The role requires hands-on experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms, HMIs, SCADA, and reading electrical drawings. Travel to client sites will be expected, and a relevant electrical engineering qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in PLC programming and commissioning.
Strong working knowledge of Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.
Experience with industrial communication networks, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, test, and modify PLC software for industrial automation systems
Commission and optimize PLC-controlled equipment and machinery on customer sites
Diagnose and resolve control system faults, ensuring minimal downtime
Integrate PLCs with HMIs, SCADA systems, drives, and other automation equipment
Provide technical support and collaborate with engineering teams throughout project lifecycles
