Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Physics Educator in Rustenburg to lead physics for Grades 10–12. You will develop curricula, run advanced laboratory sessions, and prepare students for final exams and tertiary studies.

You will foster a culture of scientific inquiry within a supportive team in the North West province. The role requires a PGCE or equivalent and a Bachelor's in Physics, with 7+ years of senior secondary teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Physics and PGCE or equivalent required.
• Minimum 7 years of teaching senior secondary Physics.
• Expert knowledge of IEB or CAPS Physical Sciences curriculum.
• Experience with virtual learning platforms and hybrid teaching models.
• Exceptional classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Physics to senior secondary students with syllabus coverage.
• Design and conduct lab experiments and practical assessments.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Develop innovative teaching materials and resources using modern pedagogy and tech.
• Mentor junior science teachers and participate in planning meetings.
• Maintain accurate student records and provide progress reports to students and parents in Rustenburg.
