Placements24 is seeking a highly qualified Senior Physics Teacher to join the Mahikeng-based science faculty. The role involves delivering engaging Physics lessons, guiding students through theoretical and practical concepts, and preparing them for advanced studies in STEM.

The ideal candidate will hold a Physics degree, a postgraduate education qualification, and a minimum of six years’ high school teaching experience, with a strong grasp of lab safety and modern physics.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Physics Teacher to join their dedicated science faculty in Mahikeng . You will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous lessons, fostering critical thinking, and ensuring students achieve a deep conceptual understanding. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in physics and a passion for teaching, with experience in both theoretical and practical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver high-quality lesson plans for Physics , covering all aspects of the curriculum for high school levels. Conduct practical laboratory experiments safely and effectively, ensuring students understand scientific methodology. Assess student learning through a variety of methods including tests, quizzes, practical assessments, and projects. Provide clear and constructive feedback to students, guiding them to improve their understanding and performance. Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in Education is preferred. A minimum of 6 years of teaching experience at the high school level, specializing in Physics . Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent professional teaching certification. Strong knowledge of classical and modern physics concepts, as well as experimental techniques. Proficiency in laboratory safety protocols and the use of scientific equipment.
