Placements24 is assisting a reputable pharmaceutical manufacturer in Centurion, Gauteng, to find a Senior Pharmaceutical Production Supervisor. The role leads production operators, aligns with cGMP and SOPs, and drives output while upholding quality and safety standards.

The successful candidate will have 5–7 years in pharmaceutical production with 2–3 years in a supervisory role, strong leadership, and a track record of process improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience with 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical production processes.
• Proven ability to manage production teams and meet targets in high-pressure environments.
• Experience with process validation, equipment qualification, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of production operators and technicians on assigned shifts.
• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with cGMP, safety regulations, and SOPs.
• Manage production schedules to meet output targets while maintaining quality.
• Monitor processes, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable pharmaceutical manufacturer committed to excellence, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Pharmaceutical Production Supervisor to oversee their manufacturing operations in Centurion, Gauteng . This critical role involves leading a team of production operators and technicians to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant manufacture of pharmaceutical products. You will be responsible for shift management, production planning, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of production operators and technicians on assigned shifts.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Operations Management).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and pharmaceutical production processes.
• Proven ability to manage production teams and meet targets in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong understanding of process validation, equipment qualification, and documentation practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.
• Experience with sterile manufacturing or solid dosage forms is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
