Our client, a dynamic and expanding pharmaceutical company, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives from their offices in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA. This role is critical for identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth within the pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial acumen, a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market, and a proven track record in business development, mergers, and acquisitions. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including licensing agreements, strategic alliances, and potential acquisitions.
• Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, customers, and industry influencers.
• Lead negotiations for complex deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and feasibility studies to support decision-making.
• Prepare business cases, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, and Legal teams to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, or a related field; a scientific background (e.g., Pharmacy, Biochemistry) is highly advantageous.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic marketing, or corporate strategy within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven success in identifying, negotiating, and closing significant business deals (e.g., licensing, partnerships, M&A).
• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market dynamics, R&D processes, and regulatory pathways.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
