Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Penetration Tester to join a fully remote cybersecurity team in South Africa. You will proactively identify vulnerabilities in networks, applications, and systems, and deliver actionable remediation recommendations to strengthen defenses.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux, plus a solid grasp of OWASP Top 10.

Formación

Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or in a similar ethical hacking role.
Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and exploitation methods.
Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
Understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and web technologies.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Relevant certifications like OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly advantageous.

Responsabilidades

Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, network infrastructure, and mobile platforms.
Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities using a variety of tools and techniques.
Perform social engineering tests to assess human vulnerabilities.
Provide detailed technical reports outlining findings, risk levels, and remediation recommendations.
Stay current with the latest exploitation techniques, tools, and security trends.
Collaborate with development and security teams to verify the effectiveness of patched vulnerabilities.
