Job summary

EnableSA based in Port Elizabeth is seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities. You will ensure accurate salary calculations, timely payments, and maintain payroll records.

You will lead a high-volume payroll team, ensure compliance with SA legislation (BCEA, LRA, PAYE, UIF, SDL) and manage SARS submissions, reconciliations, and audits. Strong Excel and Payspace experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and a Diploma or Degree in Payroll/HR/Finance.
• Payroll Administration certification is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ multi-entity payroll experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory/leadership experience.
• Experience with high-volume payroll processing.
• Proficient in Excel; Payspace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities.
• Ensure accurate calculation and payment of salaries, wages, and deductions.
• Review payroll data and approve before processing.
• Maintain employee payroll records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SA labour and tax laws incl BCEA, LRA, PAYE.
• Lead, mentor and develop the payroll team.
