Job summary

Jackie Cory Recruitment in Port Elizabeth seeks a Payroll Team Leader to oversee the end-to-end payroll process across multiple entities. You will lead, develop and support the payroll team, review inputs and calculations, and ensure accurate reconciliations and compliance with SARS and statutory requirements.

The role demands hands-on, analytical thinking, strong SA labour legislation knowledge and experience in a multi-company environment, with advanced Excel and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Payroll, HR, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years’ payroll experience in a multi-company environment.
• 2+ years’ experience leading or supervising a payroll team.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, payroll taxation, employee benefits and statutory reporting.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations and month-end processes.
• High attention to detail and accuracy; excellent communication.
