Job summary

Ogilvy South Africa is seeking an experienced Freelance Paid Social Specialist to plan, launch and optimise paid media campaigns across Meta, TikTok and Google Ads for a leading retail/e-commerce brand.

You will own campaigns end-to-end—from planning and setup through to optimisation, reporting and performance recommendations—handling large budgets with minimal supervision. Candidates with Google Ads certification and strong analytics are preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of retail and e‑commerce customer journeys.
• Experience managing large paid media budgets.
• Google Ads certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and optimise paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok and Google Ads.
• Monitor performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Set up and troubleshoot Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and other conversion tracking.
• Collaborate with e-commerce teams to align campaigns with product promotions.
• Provide regular performance reports with insights and recommendations.
• Translate data into actions to improve business outcomes.
• Stay current with platform changes and best practices.
