Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years postdoctoral or industrial experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
• Proven track record designing and executing complex synthetic strategies.
• Experience with modern analytical techniques for compound characterization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform complex multi-step organic syntheses to create novel target molecules.
• Optimize existing synthetic routes for efficiency, yield, and scalability.
• Utilize advanced spectroscopic techniques (NMR, Mass Spec, IR) for structural elucidation and purity analysis.
• Troubleshoot synthetic challenges and develop creative solutions to overcome synthetic hurdles.
• Collaborate with analytical chemists and process engineers to transfer synthetic methods.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and prepare comprehensive research reports.
