Job summary

ATS Client in Cape Town is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineer to advance our Oracle Forms/PL/SQL estate within a collaborative on-site team. You will tackle business-critical systems, improve performance and lead technical discussions.

You will mentor developers, contribute to CI/CD, unit tests, code reviews, and strengthen integrations across REST, SOAP and WCF while documenting learnings and best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Forms and PL/SQL in large-scale production systems.
• Ability to identify root causes, refactor for performance and reliability.
• Hands-on expertise in building and debugging REST/SOAP/WCF integrations.
• Familiarity with XML/JSON payload handling and integration patterns.
• Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines, tests and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality enhancements to Oracle Forms/PL/SQL estate aligned with business requirements.
• Improve performance, maintainability and reliability through targeted refactoring.
• Resolve complex production and database issues with durable fixes.
• Build and strengthen production integrations across REST, SOAP and WCF.
• Raise delivery quality by contributing to unit testing, code reviews and CI/CD.
• Mentor and influence fellow developers through design sessions and guidance.
