About the Role

Our client, a major player in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Project Manager to enhance and optimize their operational processes across their **East London** network. This role is essential for driving efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service delivery within their complex logistics operations. You will manage a portfolio of projects focused on improving warehouse management, transportation logistics, and supply chain visibility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of logistics operations, exceptional project management skills, and a proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex operational transformations. Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of logistics and operations improvement projects. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with operations management and stakeholders. Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Oversee the implementation of new operational technologies and process improvements within warehouses and transportation networks. Facilitate communication and collaboration among operations teams, IT departments, and external partners. Manage change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new operational procedures and systems. Develop comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and training materials. Ensure solutions meet operational requirements, efficiency targets, and service level agreements. Conduct post‑implementation reviews and identify opportunities for continuous operational improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics and operations management, with a strong focus on project management. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex operational improvement projects within the logistics or supply chain sector. In‑depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and supply chain best practices. Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Excellent leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment. Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities. APICS or PMP certification is highly desirable.
