Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in operations and supply chain, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing complex operations and driving efficiency improvements.
• In-depth knowledge of warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and international logistics.
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.

About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing logistics and supply chain enterprise, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Director to spearhead its operations in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, from warehousing and transportation to inventory management and logistics planning, ensuring seamless service delivery and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all operations in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
• Oversee daily operational activities, including warehouse management, inventory control, fleet management, and freight forwarding.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

• Proven track record of successfully managing complex operational environments and driving efficiency improvements.
