Placements24 is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to join its global operations team. This fully remote role within South Africa focuses on optimizing supply chain processes, boosting operational efficiency, and driving data‑driven decision making across the organization.

You will work with remote teams to model demand, forecast inventory and lead times, develop dashboards using SQL, Python/R, Tableau and Power BI, and support new systems implementations for improved performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or related quantitative field. Master’s degree highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations analysis, supply chain or similar analytical role, preferably in FMCG.
• Proven expertise in data analysis, modeling, and visualization using SQL, Python/R and BI platforms like Tableau/Power BI.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, inventory management and forecasting.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and remote-work collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in operations analysis, supply chain management, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proven expertise in data analysis, modeling, and visualization using tools such as SQL, Excel, Python/R, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, inventory management, and forecasting methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
• Experience with ERP and WMS systems is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa and comfortable working remotely from Kimberley, Northern Cape or any other location within the country.
