Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of open-pit mining operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and fleet management.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve production targets, cost efficiencies, and quality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team of mining supervisors, engineers, and operational staff.
• Oversee the maintenance and effective utilization of all mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets and capital expenditure plans for the mining department.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Liaise with other departments, including engineering, geology, and processing, to ensure integrated mine operations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and performance reviews to ensure operational integrity.
• Foster a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the mining operation.
