Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Operations Manager to oversee offshore facilities within the Oil & Gas sector. Based in Paarl or nearby, you will lead a diverse team to ensure safety, reliability, and production targets are met across offshore assets.

You will drive strategic planning, asset integrity, and cost-effective operations while collaborating with drilling, reservoir, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical) or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within offshore oil & gas.
• Proven track record in managing complex offshore facilities, including production, maintenance, and safety systems.
• Strong understanding of offshore regulations, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize production and minimize downtime.
• Manage budgets, resources, and personnel to meet KPIs.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations and policies.
• Oversee maintenance, integrity management, and inspection programs for offshore assets.
• Lead and mentor operational teams to foster safety and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with drilling, reservoir, and project teams for seamless operations.
• Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and regulators.
