Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa seeks a Senior Professional Nurse for the Emergency Centre at Erasmuskloof, Pretoria. You will support the Unit Manager, mitigate clinical risks and coordinate care delivery while providing direct patient care.

You will mentor new and student nurses in the unit, uphold infection prevention and nursing standards, and ensure a positive, safe patient experience.

Qualifications

• Professional Nurse qualification and Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing if managing a specialist unit.
• Computer literate and knowledge of infection prevention and control; nursing legislation

Responsibilities

• Senior Professional Nurse supports the Unit Manager in mitigating clinical risks and coordinating care delivery.
• Provides direct patient care and mentors new and student nurses in the unit.
