Mediclinic Kloof/ Erasmuskloof, Pretoria is seeking a Senior Professional Nurse to support the Unit Manager in delivering safe, high‑quality emergency care and mentoring students and new nurses in the unit.

You will provide direct patient care, monitor clinical risks, optimise staffing resources, and contribute to cost‑effective operations while upholding Mediclinic's standards of care and patient experience in a busy Emergency Centre.

Qualifikationen

• Professional nurse qualification is required.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing if managing a specialist unit (e.g. perioperative nursing).
• Essential: minimum nursing knowledge and clinical skills.
• Ability to mentor and support junior staff.
• Knowledge of emergency nursing standards.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Senior Professional Nurse supports the Unit Manager in ensuring a safe and positive client experience by mitigating clinical risks and co-ordinating care delivery. They further provide direct patient care, as well as mentorship to new and student nurses in the unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Professional Nurse qualification and
