Placements24 is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer with NLP expertise to join its R&D division in Centurion, Gauteng. You will lead a team of ML engineers and researchers, owning end-to-end NLP model development, deployment, and continuous optimization to scale production-ready AI.

Ideal candidates hold an advanced degree, deep NLP skills with Python and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, cloud experience, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualificações

• Master's or PhD with NLP focus required.
• Extensive production NLP experience with HF Transformers, spaCy or NLTK.
• Proficient in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TF).
• Deep learning architectures for NLP (RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers).
• Cloud platforms and MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow).
• Demonstrated leadership including mentoring teams.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Lead ML engineers and data scientists on NLP projects.
• Design, build, and deploy advanced NLP models (text classification, NER, MT).
• Create scalable data pipelines for training/evaluating NLP models.
• Implement MLOps for deployment, monitoring, retraining.
• Collaborate with product managers to define roadmaps.
• Research novel NLP techniques and assess applicability.
• Ensure quality and reliability of deployed NLP systems.
